Hello and welcome to the Web Home of the fantastic 4LB! I am so excited to have you in my class this year! Your 4th grade team has got a fun year planned for you as we work together to become a community of learners. We will be doing lots of reading, writing, thinking, and inquiring. Education:IB.Sci. and M.Ed. from Texas A & M University, Commerce, TX. And of course I've had all sorts of updates, training, etc. since then including @Teacher's College, Columbia University and various PYP training all over the world. I'm a Google Certified Educator, which puts me maybe a couple of steps ahead of the average fourth grader--as I mentioned, we are a community of learners, and that includes me!
A little more about me:I love to read! All time favorite book: A Prayer for Owen Meaney. Like most international "types", I also love to travel and have been to 54 countries at latest count. My favorite thing about travel is getting to meet people from other cultures, seeing beautiful scenery, and trying new food or learning new recipes. I am also a bit of a photography buff and enjoy practicing. And most importantly, I love learning and sharing learning with my students!
